GENERAL
Car Wash on 5th, including its affiliates, owners, officers, directors, agents, employees or contractors, (collectively “Car Wash on 5th” or “Our”) is not responsible, in any manner, for any damage that may occur in connection with any and all services provided by Car Wash on 5th.
Upon check-in, it is the customers responsibility to identify and point out any components or parts that are already broken, in a condition about to fail, tear, break, come loose or are worn, before tendering the vehicle for service. Extra care will be taken when practicable, however, the customer assumes all risk of damage. Car Wash on 5th is not responsible to repair or replace these parts or components or provide compensation in any form.
Customers assume all liability for any damage resulting from their failure to ensure all windows, sunroofs, moonroofs, etc. are closed and sealed, all windshield wipers are turned to the off position, convertible tops are secured, and the vehicle key or fob remains in the vehicle, before tendering the vehicle for service.
Car Wash on 5th is NOT responsible for antennas, loose parts, trim, molding, running boards, windshield wipers (including mechanisms and blades), wheels, covers, rims, tires, spoilers, bug shields, mirrors, racks (including luggage, bike, roof), wheelchair carriers, vehicle badges, emblems, hood ornaments, trailer hitches, caps, truck bed covers, sun visors, window tinting, moonroofs, sunroofs, windows
Car Wash on 5th is NOT responsible for pre-existing conditions (including but not limited to tears, stains, scratches, cracks, dents discoloration, rust or other damage), defects, glued parts, loose, broken or previously repaired parts, worn, ripped or broken gaskets, non-factory or aftermarket installed or modified Items (including but not limited to accessories and vehicle painting), any damage to vehicles over 5 years of age or over 50K miles.
The customer is required to remove all valuables prior to tendering the vehicle for service to prevent loss, theft, misplacement or damage. Car Wash on 5th is not responsible for any items left in the vehicle. In certain circumstances, there may be an additional charge to remove and repack customer items left in the vehicle.
Car Wash on 5th is NOT responsible for damage which occurs while the customer is loading, unloading or riding their vehicle through the car wash tunnel, any customer negligence, recklessness or failure to abide by our verbal instructions or posted signs.
INTERIOR DETAILS / INTERIOR CLEANING GENERALLY
Glove box and console interiors will not be opened or cleaned.
Customers must remove child car seat(s) prior to the service. We will neither remove nor reinstall the child car seat(s). If not removed, the vehicle seat upon which the safety device is installed will not be accessible to be cleaned.
Autos that have extra dog hair, dirt, mud, sand or insect infestation that are greater than the average amount we see on a daily basis will be subject to a surcharge. This surcharge can range from $50 to over $100, depending on the extra work required.
The inside of enclosed truck canopies and open truck beds will not be cleaned. Customers may request this service for an additional cost. The cost will be based on the type and amount of contents and condition of the area to be cleaned.
Car Wash on 5th makes every possible effort to remove stains and odors, however, sometimes it is not possible. There is no guarantee that stains and odors will be fully removed.
EXTERIOR DETAILING / EXTERIOR CLEANING
Car Wash on 5th is not responsible for any paint damage during the wash or external detail process that may occur on painted surfaces that are aging, of inadequate installation, coverage or design, have started to lift or crack off the surface or were done aftermarket.
Car Wash on 5th is not responsible for any damages to paint protective film coverings that may occur during the wash or external detail process. Customers must advise a manager, before the wash or detail has started, that they have any protective coatings so that the appropriate adjustments to the cleaning process may be made.
Car Wash on 5th will not open sunroofs/moonroofs or perform any track area cleaning.
Customers will be responsible for any and all damage resulting from their failure to ensure their truck bed is clean, empty and free of debris.
If your fingernail is required to scrape off material on the exterior of your vehicle our gentle brushes will not be able to remove it. Examples include but are not limited to sap, paint, caked on dirt or mud, and bugs. A quote for removal of these contaminants may be obtained from our detail department.
ELECTRICAL & ELECTRONIC FAILURES
Car Wash on 5th will not be responsible for replacing weak or dead batteries. Leaving doors open during the cleaning process can drain a battery if it is in a weak state. Customers need to ensure their battery is in proper fully charged working condition.
Our staff follow protocols to ensure customer vehicles are treated with the greatest care possible. As such, if any mechanical or electrical/electronic components fail, Car Wash on 5th is not responsible to make repairs, provide replacements or compensation. Such failures include but are not limited to, windows or doors malfunctions, autos not starting, convertible roofs not working, seats locking up, electrical or screen displays failing.
ENGINE DAMAGE
Although Car Wash on 5th takes care when washing and cleaning engines, there are risks involved. In rare cases water will penetrate when electrical fuse boxes or other electrical devices are not properly sealed. Such damage may include but is not limited to, wiring or fittings loosening or getting wet, engine failing to start, wires short out or other damage. Customer agrees that damage resulting from this scenario is not the responsibility of Car Wash on 5th. Customer assumes all risks when receiving this service.
INTELLIGENT CAR
Vehicles are put into neutral gear during the wash cycle. If your vehicle changes that gear during the wash cycle, you are solely responsible for any and all damage to your vehicle, the car wash equipment, the car wash building and bodily damage.
